Wind Chamber Groups
A Wind Quintet is a chamber ensemble
consisting of 5 wind players. The most common instrument combination is
flute,
oboe,
clarinet,
bassoon, and
French horn. Other ensembles may include a piano with 4 of the above.
There are many other possible combinations of small wind groups, and there is
no really standard naming for them. A Wind
Quartet commonly might include oboe,
clarinet,
French
horn, and bassoon.
