Announcement
I am very sorry to announce that Victor Gomersall, creator of this site, died on August 6th 2018. He had been suffering from Motor Neurone Disease. He was a talented and generous contributor to all who shared his love of music and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. I am proud to have been given the chance to continue his website, the legacy of his love for music.
New.
This site has a brand new page which
sets composers into their historical context.
It displays a time-line showing
composers' lifespans, with optional
comparison against timelines of
historical events. A click on any
composer on this page opens that
composer's page with his music.
Song Finder
When you use the virtual
piano of our themes dictionary lookup to search for a theme,
all matching tunes now show musical notation and a green play button so you can listen instantly.
